Choosing a Pediatrician

infant care, babycare I remember so well when I was expecting my son. I was sure I knew all about infant care. I mean why won't I? I had years of experience with young children.

I knew how to change a diaper, make a bottle, hold a new baby correctly and so on. I was completely sure I was over prepared for motherhood.

I was so wrong. No amount of experience could have prepared me for what it was like to become a mother for the first. Here was this totally helpless little life totally dependent on me. One wrong move and he could self destruct. No pressure there!

Fortunately, as time goes on your confidence grows and before you know it you and your new baby have become a unit. You learn his cries, his likes and dislikes and his schedule. Notice I say "you learn" because your baby is teaching "you" how to be his mommy.

Through all of this you will have read mountains of care information and have heard tons of motherly wisdom. Some of it will be invaluable to you and some will be better off forgotten. Use common sense and try not to be too overwhelmed.

Some good common sense practical care tips are given here but always follow your mommy instincts when caring for your new baby.Your baby is an individual and what works for one baby may not work with yours.
